THE HYDRAULICS DIRECTORATE ATTENDS THE 6TH WORLD WATER FORUM IN MARSEILLE

The Hydraulics Directorate at VINCI Construction Grands Projets, and its subsidiaries WMI, Hydroplus, and Via Marina, were in attendance at the 6th World Water Forum. The event, held from March 12 to 17 at Parc Chanot in Marseille, brought together over 35,000 participants representing 173 countries, including 170 official delegations (the far right photo shows representatives from the Sri Lankan delegation). The event, whose theme was “Time for solutions”, also brought together all stakeholders involved in water-related issues, including access to water, sanitation, and the management of water resources with respect to climate change.

Improving the Jamaican water supply network for stage 1: Laying of 6 km of DN600 pipes, upgrading two water-treatment stations (Sea View : 91 000 m3/d and Constant Spring : 191 000 m3/d), building of two storage tanks of 800 m3, laying of 40 km of galvanized pipes (DN 50 , 80, 150 et 200).

CAMERA INSPECTION OF RAW WATER PIPE
|
Upon request of the National Water Commission (Water Board of Jamaica), WMI carried out a camera inspection of a 150 meters section of raw water pipe (steel ND525mm) in a tunnel section with an existing risk of collapse.
