Upon request of the National Water Commission (Water Board of Jamaica), WMI carried out a camera inspection of a 150 meters section of raw water pipe (steel ND525mm) in a tunnel section with an existing risk of collapse.
A six hours operation including water cutting off and installing of the sleeve for insertion of the robot was successfully completed. Digital video was used to recorder the entire operation. Valuable data reported on the state of the pipe and its lining will enable policy makers to better assess the feasibility of replacing the pipe or tubing. The French equipment was provided by the company Hydrovideo. |
