For each drinking water distribution network (Saida and Bechar towns: 400,000 inhabitants, network: 1,000 km):
• Data entry of drawings and existing system Geographical Information System (GIS),
• Diagnosis of existing distribution network and copy writing of bidding document,
• Diagnosis of the existing water supply system,
• Preparation of the master plan for the refurbishment and the extension of the water supply network,
• Supporting the technical and commercial management of the public corporation.

WMI was principally in charge of the potable water and sewage measuring campaigns.

Preparation and implementation of an action plan for Non Revenue Water reduction. The real losses of water have been reduced from 62% to 39%. The loss reduction corresponded to 2,5 Mm³ (225 000 m³ per month) and the increase of the billed consumption was equivalent to 2.1 million m³ (185,000 m³ per month). This represents a gain for IBAL of 465 000 € during the execution of the project. Leak detection campaigns covered 700 km of network with 90 000 subscribers.

The project consists of the assessment, the analysis and the preparation of budgets for the water supply system optimization, development of sanitation solutions, solid waste management, watershed management, integrating environmental management and the creation of a utility company in Providence Island.

WMI was selected as leader of the consortium formed by WMI and Cecom (Haitian company) to do an administrative audit of the CAMEP (the water distribution company of Port au Prince, Haiti’s main city).

The water supply system involved in this contract is the one feeding the major urban centers of the parishes of Hanover, Saint James, Trelawny and Westmoreland (i.e., Negril, Lucea, Montego Bay, Falmouth and Duncans).The area of the contract covers more than one quarter of the Jamaican Island.
This contract‘s main target is the follow-up of the Network Service Improvement Programme with the objective of long-term sustainability of UFW and billable consumption improvements from the previous contract (Contract 1, Phase 1) in the Project Area. In this maintenance contract the consortium managed on-going works to maintain gains made over the two previous years, for a three-year period, in respect with the two targets from Contract 1, Phase 1.

Improving the Jamaican water supply network for stage 1: Laying of 6 km of DN600 pipes, upgrading two water-treatment stations (Sea View : 91 000 m³/d and Constant Spring : 191 000 m³/d), building of two storage tanks of 800 m³, laying of 40 km of galvanized pipes (DN 50, 80, 150 et 200).

In order to improve the efficiency of the work of Sogea-Satom, selected to increase the drinking water treatment plant capacity in Great River and install the iron supply main pipe DN 500 to Lucea , National Water Commission asked WMI to audit and improve the distribution network of areas affected by such investments.

Improvement of distribution system of drinking water in the North Western Parishes area including the counties of Trelawny, St. James, Hanover Parish, Negril, with a total population connected to the drinking water distribution system of 380,000 people.

Performance Contract for a period of five years, financial remuneration associated with the following objectives throughout the project area:
• 20% increase in technical performance of the network,
• 35% increase in consumption billed.

Audit of five distribution networks of Ocho Rios, Mandeville, Forrest Hills, May Pen and Old Harbour for a total network length of 950 km and around 50,000 customers.

Reduce as much as possible the physical water losses in the critical water supplying area (WSA) of Casablanca city (supplying time 24h/24h), Lydec, delegated authority operating on the network with the aim of reaching as soon as possible an overall network efficiency of 85%.

Implementation of a full program for the reduction of Non Revenue Water on various networks in the West bank and the cities of Gaza, with a contractual technical efficiency target fixed at 75 to 80% to be achieved.

Strongly supported by the French Government, a complete program of research, reduction and control of unaccounted water volumes was established for the city of Kragujevac (150 000 inhabitants, 480 km of distribution network) along with a preparatory mission for the city of Belgrade.

Integrated Assessment of Non Revenue Water of the drinking water supply system of Dar es Salaam and preparation of an action plan to reduce Non Revenue Water from 60% to 45%.

Integrated Project for the diagnosis and the reduction of Non Revenue Water in the study area of Sultanahmet Eminonu, in the center of Istanbul.

The project objectives include :
• The implementation of a program to reduce Non Revenue Water in two pilot areas of the city of Kampala,
• The network diagnosis, flow and pressures measurement campaigns and leak detection campaigns (200 km of network),
• The evaluation of over 100 large consumers,
• The identification and implementation of a monitoring network performance indicator (Infrastructure Leakage Index).

WMI was selected by the Water Company of Ho Chi Minh to carry out a diagnosis of Non Revenue Water and implement immediate solutions in primary areas of the city (40% of Non Revenue Water).
